Authorized by the USDA for use in federally-inspected meat and
poultry plants.
A highly-concentrated, general-purpose liquid cleaner which works
rapidly and effectively without a high volume of foam to interfere with
the cleaning operation or with rinsing. Contains newly-developed
synthetic detergents and emulsifiers, fortified with builders, water
softeners and a special grease-cutting agent. Works equally well in
either hard or soft water. Inhibited to protect soft metals such as
aluminum. Rinses completely to produce film-free surface. Imparts a
pleasant, citrus-type fragrance to cleaning solution.Recommended for
cleaning any surface not harmed by water alone.
DIRECTIONS:
Dilute one part ZEP FORMULA 22 with the parts of water indicated
below:
FLOOR CLEANING :
Asphalt, Linoleum, Rubber,Vinyl:
Daily: 2 oz. per gallon warm water.
Damp Mopping: 1 oz. per gallon warm water.
Terrazzo, Ceramic Tile, Concrete: 2 to 4 oz. per gallon warm water.
Wax Stripping Above Floors: 1 part with 6 parts hot water; 1 part
household ammonia.
CAUTION: DO NOT apply ZEP FORMULA 22 undiluted to
composition floors.
HARD SURFACE CLEANING:
Oil-Painted Walls: 25 to 50 parts warm water.
Woodwork and Furniture: 50 parts warm water.
Glass, Mirrors, etc.: 180 parts warm water.
Venetian Blinds: 50 parts warm water. Soak. Brush.
Building Exteriors: 1 part with 35 parts warm water. Brush.
Aluminum, Stainless Steel: 60 parts water.
Porcelain, Glazed Tile: 60 parts warm water.
SOFT-SURFACE CLEANING:
Vinyl/Plastic Upholstery: 60 parts water.
DEGREASING AUTO ENGINES CHASSIS, ETC.-: 1 part with 2 to 4
parts hot water. Spray on, soak 15 to 20 minutes. Hose off with strong
stream of water using ZEP RINSE GUN.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE IN AUTOMATIC SCRUBBING MACHINES:
For general cleaning, use one ounce of ZEP FORMULA 22A per
gallon of water. For heavy-duty cleaning, use two ounces of ZEP
FORMULA 22A per gallon of water.
BIODEGRADABLE: All detergents used in the manufacturing of this
product are biodegradable.

Contains sodium metasilicate.
CAUSES EYE BURNS
HARMFUL IF INHALED OR ABSORBED THROUGH THE SKIN
Can cause severe skin and eye irritation or corrosion. Inhalation of
spray mists or vapors may cause respiratory tract irritation. DO NOT
breathe vapors or spray mist. DO NOT swallow this product.Repeated
exposure can have cumulative effects. Exposure may aggravate
existing skin, eye, or respiratory disorders. Further information on the
effects of overexposure is included on the Material Safety Data Sheet,
which is available upon request.
Zep advocates limiting exposure to all chemical products. Wear tight-
fitting, splash-proof safety goggles during product use, especially
contact lens wearers. Wear natural rubber, nitrile, neoprene, or other
resistant gloves. Use product in well-ventilated areas only; open
window/doors and use exhaust fans in enclosed areas. Remove
contaminated clothing promptly and DO NOT rewear until thoroughly
cleaned. After handling, wash hands thoroughly with soap and water.
FIRST AID:
EYES: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15
minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical
attention immediately.
SKIN: Immediately flush contaminated skin with plenty of water for at
least 15 minutes. Get medical attention if irritation develops.
INHALATION: Move exposed person to fresh air. If irritation persists,
get medical attention immediately.
INGESTION: If this product is swallowed, DO NOT induce vomiting. If
vomiting occurs, keep head below hip level to prevent aspiration
(breathing) of fluid into the lungs. If affected person is conscious, give
plenty of water to drink. Get medical attention at once.
DISPOSAL AND/OR SPILL INFORMATION: As with all cleaning and
maintenance procedures, run-off from the cleaning or maintenance
process should be diverted to a collection vessel, or where permitted,
to a sanitary sewer (consult local and state regulations) and not
allowed to soak into the ground or to enter a storm sewer. If this
product is spilled or contaminated and cannot be used, creating the
need for disposal, absorb product on an inert absorbent material, such
as Zep-O-Zorb or Zep Super Sorbent, and deposit in a sealable
container. Rinse area well with water.
STORAGE: Store tightly-closed container in dry area at temperatures
between 40°F (4°C) and 120°F (49°C). DO NOT store at temperatures
below 32°F (0°C). Keep this product away from food and food
products.
