Open Messenger on iPad
1. You can open
Messenger within

Messenger within Facebook
• If you are already in
Facebook you can
find the Messenger
icon in the top right
menu bar. You can
open it from there.

Chat Window in Messenger
1. On the left side will be a
list of your contacts or you
can search for them in the
Search bar.
2. If you see a green circle on
a profile picture it means
the person in online.
3. Touch the blue video icon
in the upper right corner to
start a video chat.
The Chat Window Will Open
• Once the video chat is
open the person’s
profile and name will
show up and you will
appear in a smaller
square on the screen.
• To end the chat just
touch the red circle.
Messenger on a Laptop
• Choose a browser to
open on your laptop
(Safari, Chrome,
Firefox, etc.).
Log into Your Facebook Account
• Enter your email address and Password if
you are not automatically logged into your
account.

lf you 've upgraded your Mac OS to Mojave , try adding Firefox to your list

next add Firefox to your list of allowed apps.

• The new window will open and you will need to
click on the blue Allow button so Facebook can
use your camera and microphone.

Video Chat Will Start
• The video chat will
begin to call the person
you want to chat with
and you will appear in a
smaller window.
• Once the person is
connected they will
appear on your screen.
• To end the call just click
on the red button.
