The Dubois County Council met in session for the Adoption of the 2024 Annual Budget.
ORDINANCE 2024
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SALARIES AND WAGES FOR ELECTED OFFICIALS AND
EMPLOYEES OF DUBOIS COUNTY, INDIANA FOR 2024.
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Council of Dubois County, Indiana, that the
compensation rates for the following elected positions are hereby established and set for
calendar year 2024, payment of which compensation shall be annual in twenty-six (26) pays
bi-weekly, and employment positions, officers, deputies, assistants, and employees, both full time
and part time, are hereby established and set for calendar year 2024, payment of which
compensation, shall be made bi-weekly and prorated to time actually worked where appropriate.

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED as follows:
Section 1 An employee may be paid less than, but shall not be paid more than, the
rate or the maximum rate listed in this Ordinance for a given position.
Section 2 Taxable fringe benefits are reported in addition to compensation listed
herein above.
Section 3 Prior Ordinances. All ordinances and/or parts of ordinances in conflict
here with are hereby repealed.
Section 4 Separability. If any section, sub-section, sentence, clause, phrase, or
portion of this Ordinance shall for any reason be held invalid or
unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such portion shall
be deemed a separate, district and independent provision and such
holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions there under.
ORDINANCE FOR APPROPRIATION AND TAX RATES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNTY OF DUBOIS, INDIANA, that for the expenses of
the County Government and its institutions for the year ending December 31, 2024, the sums
of money shown on Budget Form 1 are hereby appropriated and ordered set apart out of the
several funds herein named and for the purposes herein specified, subject to the laws
governing the same. Such sums herein appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures
authorized to be made during the year unless otherwise expressly stipulated and provided for
by law. In addition, for the purpose of raising revenue to meet the necessary expense of
County Government, tax rates are shown on IN.GOV Gateway Budget Form 4 and Form 4-B.
Budget Forms 1 and 4-B for all funds and departments are made a part of the budget report
and submitted herewith.
