From Atlanta via Augusta/I-20 to:
SRS, SRNL, the Center for Hydrogen Research (CHR),
and the Aiken County Technology Laboratory (ACTL)
Follow I-20 East, following signs to Augusta
Exit I-20 East using Bobby Jones Expressway/
I-520, at Exit 196A
Follow the Bobby Jones Expressway/I-520 approximately
15.5 miles to the Laney Walker Blvd exit
At bottom of exit ramp, turn right onto Laney Walker Blvd.
Go about ½ mile to the end of Laney Walker Blvd.
Turn right onto Sand Bar Ferry Rd.
Take the Sand Bar Ferry Bridge across the Savannah River
Continue straight and follow the signs for Hwy. 125
Bear right up the ramp onto Hwy125 South
Continue on Hwy. 125 through Beech Island and
Jackson, S.C.
One mile after passing through the traffic light in Jackson,
turn left at the flashing caution light onto the SRS Road 1.
(See the inset map for the Badge Office and parking.) SRS/
SRNL is on the right side of SRS Road 1, about 2.6 miles
from Hwy. 125.
In most cases, you must make arrangements with your
host in advance and visit the Badge Office for access to
SRS or SRNL.
For CHR and ACTL: Continue on SRS Road 1 for
approximately 2.8 miles past the SRS parking lots.
Turn left onto Gateway Drive and travel about 1.4 miles;
ACTL and CHR are on the right.
In most cases, you must make arrangements with your
SRS/SRNL host in advance for access to either ACTL
or the CHR

From Charleston to:
SRS, SRNL, the Center for Hydrogen Research (CHR),
and the Aiken County Technology Laboratory (ACTL)
Access I-26 West and travel toward Columbia for
approximately 50 miles.
Take Exit 169A, merging onto I-95 South,
toward Savannah
After approx. 9.3 miles, turn onto Hwy. 78 West
at Exit 77. Continue on Hwy. 78 West for approx. 13
miles until intersecting with Hwy. 21 in Branchville.
Make a left onto Hwy. 21 and travel about 0.2 miles
and turn right onto Hwy. 78. Continue on Hwy. 78 for
approximately 41.7 miles.
Bear left at the Hwy. 78/SC-781 junction. Follow the
signs for Hwy. 278.
After approx. 3.5 miles, make a right onto
Hwy. 278 and follow for about 9.3 miles to the light at
the Hwy. 19/Hwy. 278 intersection
For CHR and ACTL: Continue on Hwy 278 for
approximately 2 miles.
Turn left onto Gateway Drive, which will be marked with a
sign for the Savannah River Research Campus
ACTL is on the left in 0.3 miles, CHR in 0.4 miles
In most cases, you must make arrangements with
your SRS/SRNL host for access to either ACTL
or CHR.
For SRS/SRNL; turn left onto Hwy. 19, at the light,
and move to the right hand lane. Continue to bear to
the right and follow SRS Road 1 around the curve.
SRS/SRNL parking lots are on the left side of SRS Road
1 in about 5 miles, shortly after the traffic signal at
Green Pond Rd.
In most cases, you must make arrangements with your
host in advance and visit the Badge Office for access to
SRS or SRNL.

In Allendale, turn right onto Hwy. 301/Hwy. 278/Main St.
and follow for about 0.3 miles
Turn left onto Hwy. 278 and continue to follow Hwy. 278
toward Barnwell, approximately 15 miles.
In Barnwell, continue to follow Hwy. 278, which will
curve left around a cemetery and then make a right -
separating from SC-64.
Continue on Hwy. 278 approximately 24 miles to the
light at the Hwy. 19 intersection
For CHR and ACTL: Continue on Hwy 278 for about
2 miles.
Turn left onto Gateway Drive, which will be marked with a sign
for the Savannah River Research Campus
