Students seeking to enter the ADN-BSN program must have the following:
A current license as a Registered Nurse in California.
Completed 60 semester units of baccalaureate-level transferable college credit.
Completed an AD or Diploma in nursing with a minimum of 30 semester units of nursing
coursework, with a grade of C or better in each course.
Completed at least half of the University’s General Education breadth requirements,
including (The Golden Four) college-level English Composition, Statistics,
Communication/Speech, and Critical Thinking, with a grade of C or better.
Complete an acceptable college-level statistics course of at least 3 semester units with a
grade of C or better.
Gained admission to the University with an overall grade point average of 2.75 or better.
Gained admission to the School of Nursing. Program admission is contingent upon
meeting minimum requirements and passing a physical exam, drug screening and a
background check.
University Requirements:
Complete University General Education requirements for the Bachelor of Science degree,
(51 units minimum including transferable General Education units.)
Completed ADN major with 26 or 27 upper-division units.
Complete 9 upper-division units to meet the upper-division General Education
requirements.

Send completed application with a copy of your current RN license. If you still need to
take boards at the time of application, please note that on the application and send a copy
of your license when you receive it.
Send one (1) set of official transcripts from each previous attended college or university
to the School of Nursing. This is in addition to the set of transcripts that must be sent to
Enrollment Services when you applied to the university.
Send a clinical letter*. This is a letter validating clinical competence, and is required of
all applicants unless you have completed your associate degree in nursing within the last
year.
*If not currently working as an RN, the ATI Predictor exam will be used in place of the
clinical letter.

In addition to the 26 or 27 units in the nursing major, the School of Nursing allows up to
15 upper division units of validated credit for equivalent nursing course work completed
in preparation for nursing licensure.
