The Infrastructure Management Division is responsible for a broad range of modernized and resilient
technology services, which support all mayoral agencies as well as other City government entities. We
are responsible for the CityNet optical backbone and core IP network services, which span all five
boroughs and across over 75 remote locations. We oversee secure, robust data centers with modern,
scalable storage, and resilient data protection. We also manage and support citywide circuit
provisioning, firewall network threat prevention, identity and access management, mainframe systems,
cloud services, citywide unified communications, collaboration, and contact center services, as well as
311 telephony services.
Within the Infrastructure Management Division, the Desktop Support Team supports Windows
Operating Systems (currently Windows 10). The team manages, supports hardware and software,
configures, and deploys both computers and laptops/MS Surface devices. The team supports over 2500
users on 3 Domains throughout the 5 boroughs. The team tests, evaluates, and make recommendations
for new software and hardware for the OTI environment.
Your Role:
Configure, image, deploy and support the migration of Windows 10 to Windows 11
Resolve end user tickets related to desktop hardware and software issues
Perform asset management, record assets, and prepare spreadsheets for upload to a centralized
database using the application Service Now
Your Benefits:
Earn $17 to $24 per hour while supporting the City of New York’s revival (hourly rate is
dependent on level in school and job role)

35 Hours Per Week, 9-5 PM, M-F

About You:
Major - Computer Science, Cyber Security
College/Graduate Student
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
Familiarity with Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems, patch management, and
application installations
A++ certification preferred
SCCM knowledge
Familiarity with Patch management, Software support for Microsoft Office, Adobe, and
Windows 11, Azure and Active Directory
