Criminal Arrests
7
Note: Criminal arrests are the number of people arrested, not the number of charges,
counts or cases cleared. These include arrests made at the time of the incident as well as
those filed after an extended investigation.
DEPARTMENT NOTES: (Significant non-routine types of incidents, just a sample of a few, brief description
of the incident and outcome)
* Officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for a minor traffic violation. Officer recognized the
two occupants as wanted for several serious crimes in several local jurisdictions. Through
this contact and the officer's "heads up" memory, several police agencies were able to
solve several cases to include armed robbery, thefts of guns, thefts from vehicles, stolen
identity and fraud. Both individuals had extensive criminal histories in another state. And
had been eluding police for several months. This was a great job by patrol!
* Caller reported that her husband who was evicted from the residence and had not been
living there for a while, whom she had a PFA on, entered into her residence by climbing
through a window while her and her children were asleep. He threatened her with
physical violence after she confronted him. She called 911. He fled prior to police arrival.
Criminal warrant for trespass and a PFA violation was served on the individual and taken
into custody at later time. Victim was provided information on how to obtain assistance
from Centre Safe. She did accept that assistance.
* Mental Health Crisis, Officers met with a suicidal person whom had made steps to take
his life with a firearm. Officers facilitated him going to the hospital to be evaluated by
providing family members with the information needed to sign an affidavit for an
involuntary commitment for a psychological evaluation by medical professionals. BPD
transported the patient to MNMC without incident, and released him to their care.
*Officer dispatched to a medical assist. Unconscious patient, officer used NARCAN to
bring the patient back from that state. Suspected overdose.
Use of Force: (how many and brief description of each)
There were no instances where BPD officers needed to use any physical force in the
line of their police duties.

Thank you for reaching out. I support exonerating these tickets.
Thanks and I feel communicating in this manner will work fine moving forward in the future.
See you soon.

Good Morning Sir,
So far I have not had any exoneration requests other than the three we spoke about
when you were in the office. These were for the gentleman that lived
on Pine Street, was out of the country and given permission to have the
vehicle sit until the beginning of January, and then he got COVID and was
not able to move the vehicle. When we talked I believe you said it was ok
this time to exonerate them.
They are ticket numbers forDalton Strite

If there are any questions please let me know. I hope this works out
handling these this way. I have copied Alyssa on this, so once you approve
these, she can add them to the Council packets as part of the Police report.
Have a great rest of your week.
Stay Safe, Stay Healthy!
Respectfully,
Karen
