counts or cases cleared. These include arrests made at the time of the incident as well as
those filed after an extended investigation.
DEPARTMENT NOTES: (Significant non-routine types of incidents, just a sample of a few, brief description
of the incident and outcome)
* Officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for a minor traffic violation. Officer recognized the
two occupants as wanted for several serious crimes in several local jurisdictions. Through
this contact and the officer's "heads up" memory, several police agencies were able to
solve several cases to include armed robbery, thefts of guns, thefts from vehicles, stolen
identity and fraud. Both individuals had extensive criminal histories in another state. And
had been eluding police for several months. This was a great job by patrol!
* Caller reported that her husband who was evicted from the residence and had not been
living there for a while, whom she had a PFA on, entered into her residence by climbing
through a window while her and her children were asleep. He threatened her with
physical violence after she confronted him. She called 911. He fled prior to police arrival.
Criminal warrant for trespass and a PFA violation was served on the individual and taken
into custody at later time. Victim was provided information on how to obtain assistance
from Centre Safe. She did accept that assistance.
* Mental Health Crisis, Officers met with a suicidal person whom had made steps to take
his life with a firearm. Officers facilitated him going to the hospital to be evaluated by
providing family members with the information needed to sign an affidavit for an
involuntary commitment for a psychological evaluation by medical professionals. BPD
transported the patient to MNMC without incident, and released him to their care.
*Officer dispatched to a medical assist. Unconscious patient, officer used NARCAN to
bring the patient back from that state. Suspected overdose.
