BANKS Beer debuts at Disney Epcot Food &Wine
Festival
BANKS PREMIUM CARIBBEAN LAGER made a successful
debut at the internationally recognized Disney Epcot
Food and Wine Festival, which celebrated its 15
th
anniversary this year.
For six weeks during the period October 1 to November 14, some of
the finest food, wine and beer from around the world were on display at
the theme park in Orlando, Florida and BANKS had the distinct
privilege of being one of the featured beverages in the “15 Beers for 15
Years” booth. Selling over 250 cases, the Caribbean lager held its own
among the leading beers from countries such as Germany, Belgium,
Canada and the USA.
Participation in the theme park’s prestigious food and wine festival is
only the beginning for Stansfeld Scott Inc., the company which imports
BANKS in Florida. Brewery Portfolio Manager, Nigel Lobo said that
the overall objective is to have the Caribbean brewed lager included in
Disney’s Food & Beverage programme.
“There are thousands of beer brands each with a different story to tell,
and Disney is extremely selective, but while it is a challenging pursuit our
ultimate goal is to get a permanent listing in Disney’s Food & Beverage
programme,” he said.
BANKS Premium Caribbean lager, brewed by Banks (Barbados)
Breweries Limited, is a collaborative effort between Guyana and
Barbados and is distributed in Florida by Republic National Distribution
Company.
